The association is the only state wide association formed for the advancement of local chambers, their executives and staff.
Broussard Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director, Jeremy Hidalgo stated “It is an honor to be selected by my colleagues to serve in this position. LACCE has been an invaluable asset to local chamber professionals in Louisiana for many years. We have big plans for 2016, including implementing a state chamber accreditation program and an awareness campaign of the association to benefit local chambers and the businesses they serve.”
LACCE awards professional development scholarships to local chamber executives. These can be utilized at trainings and certifications at the state or national level. When chambers are strong, they can more readily represent their local business constituents on issues which have an impact on business and their ability to hire. With most chambers heavily engaged in their local community’s success, solid chambers are even more vital.
The association also holds an annual conference updating chambers on industry trends, business issues, and operations stability. The Jefferson Chamber of Commerce will host this year’s annual conference. The Louisiana Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives represents forty-seven chambers of commerce representing over ten thousand businesses and over one hundred thousand employees.
