The Brent Henley Youth Leadership program is a 9-part course, starting in a student’s junior year of high school. During these once-a-month courses, students will learn from community leaders on different topics, ranging from arts and culture, healthcare, first responders, and many more, ensuring that they learn about all facets of leadership and community involvement.
Any sophomore from a partner school can apply. Available spots are limited and competitive, and candidates will be reviewed and chosen by members of the community. Accepted participants will start the program at the beginning of their junior year and graduate in April of that year. Once a student has graduated, they will have the opportunity to serve on a nonprofit organization’s board and will act as a junior board member during their senior year. Finally, in their freshman year of college, they will have the opportunity to intern, working and learning with leaders who are making a real impact in our community.
